In celebration of Father’s Day ReelUrbanNews.com recently caught up with the Cooper’s (Stephanie, Michael Sr., Jourdan, Kendall and Michael, Jr.,) of Carson, California. This extremely busy family shared with us the importance of family and having a great father. “For the most part I defer discipline to Michael although he has a hard time disciplining the children, especially Jourdan and Kendall because they’re his girls. It goes back to how we were raised, before there was an Internet, face book and cell phones. Michael makes sure the girls and Michael have a sound foundation and that they focus on homework, and academics.” Stephanie Cooper
During our time with the Cooper’s we asked Michael to reflect on the early years of his family and father-hood. “For me it’s always been, am I giving the right instructions, although it may not come out the right way, the right intentions are there. Father-hood can be a little bit colorful at times, but I share with all three of them, I’m going to be harder on you than any couch or any teacher. We try to set them up for different adversities in life, because it’s not always going to be rosy or easy.“ Michael Cooper
Love it! Thanks again.
