As citizens and non-citizens alike living in Southern California remain in utter shock and disbelief by the numerous ICE raids sweeping across Los Angeles and the surrounding communities, Thursday June 12th, around 3:00 pm. United States Military Assault Vehicles and support trucks, manned by members of the California National Guard refueled at a Chevron Gas Station in Carson, California.
The oversized vehicles painted military green and desert tan literally brought traffic to a standstill as passerby and onlookers stood and watched.
Members of the California National Guard who operated the imposing vehicles refused to answer any of our questions. However, one Guardsman did say the caravan was returning from deployment somewhere in Southern California. He did not provide any other details.
