Successful living is determined by how well one relates. Our primary relationship is with our God.

While doing my morning meditation with my trusted friend, Baron by my side(Baron is an AKC English Bulldog that relocated with me from Los Angeles to Dallas), I was reminded of my relationship with God that must be retained at all cost.

First of all, Baron knows that I am his master and is completely loyal to me. At the dog park, although intrigued with other owners, when I speak Baron responds. .Jesus said his sheep know and obey his voice as Baron does mine. I pride my self on knowing Jesus and trying to live a righteous life in obedience to Him.

Second of all, Baron knows that he can depend on me to see to all his needs. Because the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

Third of all, when my friend because of his stubborn nature disobeys or is slow to respond and gets chastised, he quickly goes into a repentant mode to try to get on my good side. When I sin as I sometimes do, I am quick to try to reconcile with God so that there is not rupture in our relationship.

I could go on but if you are a pet owner you know you have a friend. So finally and foremost, my friend loves me. He lets everyone around know, he is mine and I am his and like him my testimony becomes for all to know, “I really love the Lord.” No one can tell it like I can, what the Lord has done for me.
