You know, I just have to chime in on this Lamar Odom Story. Being a Christian, GOD has given me certain Gifts of the spirit. One of those gifts, is The “Gift of Discernment.” What is discernment you might ask? Here is the definition according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
dis·cern·ment
noun \di-ˈsərn-mənt, -ˈzərn-\
: the ability to see and understand people, things, or situations clearly and intelligently.
Now stay with me, I’ve been following Lamar Odom’s Career, ever since he was playing basketball at The University of Rhode Island. I use to always say to myself, “this cat has demons inside him”. Lamar always looks so depressed and unhappy, even though he’s doing something that he loves. I’m not talking about the money he’s making, I truly believe, he could care less about the dough, because he really LOVES just playing basketball.
The loss of his Mother has really been a big loss in his life, one that he has not gotten over. I can understand; we all only have one Mother. Lamar still has his Father, but after watching his reality show, with his Father on there, It’s plain to see, that Lamar don’t have the family structure, support and love he needs to cope with the inner pain that burns within his soul. Watching how his father just constantly begs for money, clothes, food, jewelry, you would think, it’s Lamar who abandoned him.
It seems like the demons that haunt Lamar are The demons of lonesomeness. The loss of his mother and grandmother has been a shot. Even though his Father is alive, his Father appears dead. Lamar’s Father doesn’t provide him with the love he craves from a father.
This is why I LOVE Lamar’s wife, Khloe. I feel she loves Lamar unconditionally because Khloe knows how it feels to be neglected by family. That is the common denominator that keeps them together. I’m praying they can work through their issues and remain together, because if they don’t, Lamar will go down a road, that may shock the whole WORLD.
