Following the finalist screening we spoke with several actors, writer and festival award winners about the importance of diversity in Hollywood and in the film industry.“I think diversity is really important. Growing up I definitely felt I didn’t have a lot of Asian American role models. There is something about seeing your image or people who look like you in a positive light or in balanced ways. That gives you confidence as a person growing up and makes you feel like a part of society.
