It’s been well over two months since we elected a new president and much has been said, threatened and proposed. Not to mention the fact that life has also continued to evolve with judicial verdicts playing out daily that affect everyday Americans. What has become most prevalent is the fact that the new president is nominating a ragtag group of individuals to head up some of the most important departments of government and its shaping up to be a three-ring circus of jesters and jackals. The nominees are laughable and yet Republicans still refuse to speak out on the injustices being carried out. They seem to be complacent enough to just go along with this big joke as if it does not affect them.

The rumblings of communities that supported Trump are sounding off in fear of radical proposals being presented. Notably, Georgia’s growing Hispanic population living in small cities and rural areas that voted for him. They are concerned with the idea that deportation may be becoming a sweeping family move. It was alright when they voted for him, obviously not supporting a black woman and now the joke may actually be on them. The fear that you may get deported with your undocumented relative hits different now. I say, you got what you voted for. Trump blatantly stated he did not like minorities and disparaged them the entire campaign season and many Hispanics justified that as just rhetoric. Yet today that same rhetoric could affect them. And amusingly, he’s not fully taken office with his sweeping powers yet. The last time I checked, when a person tells you who they are, they usually mean it. Just as Vladimir Putin did to the Ukrainians.
White women voted for him, and he demonstrated years ago that he has no respect for women or women’s rights. He has lined up his Supreme Court appointees to bolster his dislike for women’s health care rights and done nothing to clarify a stance that supports their right to abortion under any circumstance. He has single handedly ushered in the abolishment of abortion in many respects with those Supreme Court appointments. That same Supreme Court is rife with that same attitude. Thomas, Cavanagh and Coney-Barrett are dangerous people to have on the most powerful court in the land. I was under the assumption that supreme court judges should be impartial and fair. I don’t see it with these three in particular. Thomas has demonstrated that he is hypocrite on many levels from accepting gifts to outright creating rules that he lives by without consequence. He has done so for many years now.

Any black male that voted for Trump should really examine themselves and his past record. He compares himself to black men because he has a mugshot and a record. And that’s supposed to be a bonding idea, it’s actually disgusting and embarrassing. Much of what he takes credit for was groundwork from the Obama Presidency. The media, yes FOX, drives a narrative that he was done unfairly and this is vindication. But if you review his first term, it is difficult to find any significant successes in that presidency. He failed to build a wall, failed to make Mexico pay a dime and did not address illegal crossings even once during his first administration. He is a master at spinning his own narrative. It could be said that if you repeat a lie enough, eventually it begins to sound like the truth. That is exactly what he has done by repeating that the 2020 election was stolen. He rants, like a lunatic, that Vice President Harris did nothing while in office all the while, successfully deflecting any attention on his failures and shortcomings. He is a puppet master with his people, which makes one think that perhaps he has files on folks like J. Edgar Hoover did. In my six decades of existence, I have never experienced a person that can wield outlandish theories so successfully without consequence. The joke of calling him “Teflon Don” is almost an accurate description of his persona. Every word from his mouth is suspect.
He has reduced America to a laughingstock in other countries. They say they cannot believe that we actually allowed this man to be reelected, let alone be anywhere near the White House again. His family is mysteriously quiet these days. Melania is keeping a very low profile and reportedly did not want to return to first lady duties. We can only hope his two older sons remain quiet, as they are annoying at best. The daughter is nowhere to be seen yet either.

If orchestrating an assassination attempt was a tool, this could be considered one of the best used in a presidential election, not once, but twice. Trump has figured how to manipulate a system so smoothly, they don’t even know they have been manipulated. Perhaps the Democrats will take a page from his book. The Dems did a pathetic job of fighting back and using the same tools Trump used to denigrate them. Biden did take too long to step down and allow Vice President Kamala Harris the opportunity to mount a strong and meaningful campaign. Like a stubborn old man, he tried to hold on to power while being unable to even debate without the world seeing that something cognitively was going on. They both had that pissing contest on national television, and Biden lost, big time.
So, here we are again with an incompetent national leader who fashions himself more like a dictator than a president and is creating a regime of incompetents to carry out his mean-spirited task on the very people that make this country actually work. Whether he is successful with mass deportation and the outright abolishment of abortion nationally, he is a danger to this country. Black people should make sure they are ready because the onslaught will be big and undoubtedly, we will be affected. The real question is how much? We have zero in common with this man, nothing. He cares nothing for blacks and as our Hispanic brothers and sister have found, them neither. Lesson to be learned, when a person shows who they are, believe it and handle yourself accordingly. It would be the biggest travesty if mass deportation is carried out and successful. But it would also ring accurate to the description of a race that has made it a point of taking and claiming throughout history. Power is an intoxicating and dangerous drug that drives people to lie, make false promises and even break the law, just to attain and keep position.
